Series 1 of record group RG 65-30 consists of records relating to "the Old Settlers' Association" of the Grand Traverse Region for the years 1881-ca. 1935. Items were accumulated by Mrs. William Love of Traverse City, Michigan and donated to the Michigan Section of the State Library by Mrs. Gladys (Love) Rowe of Lansing, Michigan. Includes constitution, by-laws, minutes of annual meetings and register of paid members ([1881]-1895); narrative annual reports of meetings, including necrology (1911-13, 1919, 1926, 1932); flyers and printed historians' annual reports (1912-17, 1919, 1922-23, 1925-35); souvenir ribbons; photographs and poetry (1901-30); and newspaper clippings relating to the Association and local history (1912-ca. 1935).
